From our show PAPER. In this body of work Rowan takes century old Victorian Mourning stationery and edits it down to a signifier of sadness -a thick black line. At the turn of the last century people would edge their stationery in black lines when they were grieving. The thicker the line the deeper the grief. Rowan has removed the content of these letters and given space to you/to us to grieve.
